# Tomcat-Juli Short Log Formatter
## Install
./build.sh
then, for a standard debian installation on tomcat8:
./install.sh
Registering the formatter is then done by editing the /etc/tomcat8/logging.properties. For instance:
handlers = 1catalina.org.apache.juli.AsyncFileHandler, 2localhost.org.apache.juli.AsyncFileHandler
.handlers = 1catalina.org.apache.juli.AsyncFileHandler
############################################################
# Handler specific properties.
# Describes specific configuration info for Handlers.
############################################################
1catalina.org.apache.juli.AsyncFileHandler.level = FINE
1catalina.org.apache.juli.AsyncFileHandler.directory = ${catalina.base}/logs
1catalina.org.apache.juli.AsyncFileHandler.prefix = catalina.
1catalina.org.apache.juli.AsyncFileHandler.formatter = com.republicate.tomcat.logger.ShortFormatter
